The Western Digital WD64PURZ (WD Purple) is a 6TB, 3.5-inch internal hard drive engineered for surveillance systems and continuous (24/7) video recording. It features a SATA 6Gb/s interface, 256MB cache and a 5400 RPM design tuned for sustained sequential writes common to NVRs and DVRs. WD Purple drives include WD AllFrame firmware optimisations for reduced video frame loss and support for multi-stream recording.
