Description

Overview

The ASUS TUF Gaming BE3600 is a compact WiFi 7 gaming router designed for large homes and device‑dense environments. It implements next‑generation 802.11be features — including 4096‑QAM and Multi‑Link Operation (MLO) across 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz — to increase real‑world throughput while keeping a small desktop footprint and robust thermal design.

Key features

• WiFi 7 (802.11be) dual‑band, up to 3600 Mbps combined throughput (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz).
• 4096‑QAM (4K‑QAM) and Multi‑Link Operation (MLO) to improve transmission efficiency and reduce buffering between bands.
• Powerful quad‑core 2.0 GHz SoC with 1 GB DDR4 RAM and 256 MB flash for responsive routing and gaming features.
• Multi‑gig wired options: 1 × 2.5 GbE WAN/LAN port plus 4 × 1 GbE LAN ports (one available as a dedicated gaming port); USB 3.2 Gen 1 for mobile tethering or storage.
• ASUS software ecosystem: AiMesh compatibility for mesh setups, AiProtection security suite and gaming‑focused features such as Mobile Game Mode and Open NAT.

The BE3600 is a WiFi‑7 capable, dual‑band option for buyers who want the latest PHY and MAC layer advances (MLO, 4K‑QAM) but do not require 6 GHz operation. As with any router, actual wireless speed and coverage will vary with environment, client devices and ISP connection.
