Overview
The ASUS ZenWiFi BQ16 is a Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be) quad‑band mesh router designed to deliver very high wireless throughput and flexible wired connectivity in a single‑unit configuration. It supports Multi‑Link Operation (MLO), 4096‑QAM and 320 MHz channels on 6 GHz to increase peak performance for compatible Wi‑Fi 7 clients, while AiMesh lets you expand into a multi‑node system.

- Dual 10GbE wired ports (1 × 10G WAN/LAN, 1 × 10G LAN) plus an additional 1G WAN/LAN and two 1G LAN ports for flexible ISP and LAN configurations.
- 12 internal antennas and 16 high‑power front‑end modules for broad coverage; 1‑pack coverage up to ~4,000 sq ft (2‑pack up to ~8,000 sq ft as per ASUS).
- Quad‑core 2.6 GHz CPU, 2 GB RAM and 256 MB flash; USB 3.2 Gen1 port for storage or USB WAN (4G/5G tethering).
- AiProtection Pro, parental controls, VPN support, and the ASUS Router app for setup and management.
The BQ16 ships with an RJ‑45 network cable, the bundled AC adapter and a quick start guide. It is intended for indoor use and will provide the highest benefit when paired with Wi‑Fi 7 capable client devices; actual throughput and coverage depend on client capabilities, building materials and local regulations for 6 GHz operation.
