Overview
The Samsung 9100 PRO 2TB (model MZ‑VAP2T0BW) is a high‑performance M.2 2280 NVMe SSD that uses a PCIe® 5.0 x4 interface and Samsung’s in‑house controller with V‑NAND TLC. It is designed for desktops, workstations and other systems with a PCIe 5.0‑capable M.2 slot and offers very high sequential and random I/O suitable for video editing, large file transfers and demanding applications.

Compatibility and notes
- To reach the published peak speeds you need a motherboard/slot running PCIe 5.0 x4; older PCIe slots will limit maximum throughput.
- The drive is available in both bare M.2 (BW suffix) and heatsink (CW suffix) versions — choose the heatsink model if your system has limited airflow or you expect sustained heavy writes.
- Manufacturer performance figures are ‘up to’ values and will vary with system configuration, firmware and workload.
